I know you all learned a lot about Robert E. Lee today. Thank you to Mr. Givens who gave his time to share with us. You may want to do research on any thought that struck you today. I want you to be curious learners.

Literature: Please be ready for the vocabulary quiz. I think we all have all of our words straight. Also finish reading A Golden Christmas. Watch for the falling action and resolution that we discussed in class today. Also note any Biblical imagery and figures of speech. We will review for the test on Friday.

History: I received every map. Great job! I appreciate your attention to your assignments.

Make cards for the following topics form 1862:

3.March 1862 Battle of the Monitor and the Merrimac

4. April 1862 Battle of Shiloh

5. April 1862 Ft. Pulaski, Georgia

6. April 1862 New Orleans

7. May- August 1862 The Peninsular Campaign

8. May 1862 Stonewall Jackson defeats Union forces

Please do thorough research for each topic. This will help you fill in gaps with no textbook.
