Literature: Read "Rikki Tikki Tavi" and "Toomai of the Elephants"
in the Jungle Book.

5th/6th History: Please finish reading Chapter 14 in SOW.

Define your vocabulary words.

Read pages 25-67 of Carry Big Stick.

5th/6th History: Finish Chapter 13.

I was so happy to be back with you today. I felt like it was productive and we were able to accomplish a lot.
Thank you to Mrs. Tkach for being out helper.

"For unto you a child is born......." It is my prayer that we remember the promise of Christmas.

Literature: Please read through to "The Road Song of the Bandor- Log" in the Jungle Book.
Enter your vocabulary words into your notebook and define.
Pay special attention to the the characterization of the Jungle animals.

7th/8th History: Finish reading Stalin.
We will work on our outlines in class.

5th/6th History: Quiz on Chapters 11 and 12 of SOW.
Complete outline for study guide.
Ask your parents how much they think they consumes potatoes this week.
It may be surprising!

Mrs. Fowler's assignments

I was so sorry to leave you today. I trust you all had a good Thanksgiving.
I want to encourage you all to push hard until Christmas. There is a lot to do.

Literature:
Bring Jungle Book to class.
You will have a quiz on your literary terms.
I did a little research about the idea of
Kipling giving the animals human qualities. Most literary experts call it a form of personification. We will talk about it on Friday.

7th/8th History: Read pages 174-209 in Stalin.
You will have a map quiz on Western Europe. ( you will have a word bank)

5th/6th History: Read Chapter 12 in SOW.
We will review both Chapter 11 and 12 for a little quiz on Tuesday.
