   Well, we are almost there. I know you are all excited to begin your summer vacation. I know I am! We will do our best to have some fun on Friday, but it will still be a school day.

6th/7th History:  Thank you to the 7th graders who have worked on their project. We are still working on a filming date. 

                                    Homework: Research ways the news for the  Gold Rush could have reached other countries. Brainstorm some ideas with your families about the possibilities. Please bring your notebook, SOW and GWW to class. Please complete the handout for the Mo. Compromise.

Literature:  Final draft of your short story is due. Please turn in your rough draft also.

Science : Research the Nobel Prize. Come ready to play a great science game.

                               Review study sheets completed in class.

                               Be ready to discuss the Battle of the Alamo.

                               Research the question:        If Chinese  are only allowed one                                                                                                                   child, why is their country so crowded?

Literature:  Complete rough draft of short story due on Tuesday.
